Birthday Fun

It is now day two of my twentieth year! I must say, my nineteenth year definitely goes in my top five most eventful years, for more reasons than I can take the time to write down.

No, I don't feel much different. People always ask me that on my birthday (and yes, I probably do the same thing to other people) and I always say "I won't feel twenty until right before I turn twenty-one" or insert whatever age I was at the time. The same thing happens to me with years. Usually, I won't get used to the fact that it's, say 2013, until about November, and then before I know it it's 2014 and I have to get used to a whole new number!

My birthday was a lot of fun. Daddy always takes us out for the day for our birthdays, but he usually can't take us out on the actual day. That's always been fine, but it was kind of neat to do it on my birthday.

First, I got up at six. Not normally what I would choose to do on my birthday, but Daddy and I had to be somewhere at seven-thirty, namely the dentist. Yes I did say dentist; not the first thing I would have thought of for a birthday outing, but it had to be done. As it turns out my first birthday present of the day was discovering that I was not developing a cavity, which was what we went to check on. Next, to the bank to cash a birthday check from Nanny, and then to the Foundry to spend said cash. That was a lot of fun. And then we went to the Bright Star for lunch. OH, MY, GOODNESS!! Some of the best food I have ever put in my mouth. I won't go in to details since this post is getting long, but suffice it to say, I am well and truly spoiled. Then home to rest, eat supper, and enjoy my favorite cake and some lime sherbet punch.

I forgot to take the camera on my outing! I could just kick myself. But maybe I'll post some pictures of the great tops Nanny got me for my birthday. No promises though, you guys know how I am about pictures!
